A-1 Health Care Services can provide staffing assistance to Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities with CNA’s and CHHA’s. Our highly trained personnel can provide supplemental staff to help facilities maintain appropriate levels while continuing the focus on the highest quality of patient care.

  • What is Home Care, and what does A-1 Health Care Services, Inc. provide?"
    A-1 Health Care Services, Inc. provides a wide range of health care services provided in a patients home, with a purpose of restoring and maintaining a maximum level of function, health and comfort. Home Care is a cost effective alternative to extended hospitalization, lengthy rehabilitation, or any nursing institutions. Most patients are more comfortable in their own home, and studies have shown that patients recover quicker in their familiar settings.
  • Who would benefit from Home Care?
    You or a family member may benefit from home care if you are: Recovering from a recent illness, surgery, accident or hospitalization In need of assistance in order to live independently at home, or to enhance the quality of life at home Have been recently discharged from a nursing care facility but need additional care Terminally ill and wish to receive tender loving care in the comfort of your own home In need of education/training regarding your health condition and how to manage it effectively at home Help with infant or childcare in your home
  • Can you arrange for a caregiver in the hospital after I have surgery?
    A-1 Health Care can supply an aide to sit with you in the hospital. Many hospitals are understaffed today and cannot provide you with the personal care you expect. A-1 Health Care we will assure your safety and that you are never alone.
  • Do you provide caregivers in an Assisted Living Facility?
    Yes we do. Where you call home, is where A-1 Health Care Services, Inc. we will be.
  • What kind of training do your Home Health Aides have?
    A-1 Health Care’s Certified Home Health Aides are certified by the New Jersey Board of Nursing. All Home Health Aides must complete a specifically designed program that includes both classroom and clinical instruction. The program provides them with the knowledge and skills to provide home care.
  • Can Home Health Aides give medications?
    Home Health Aides are not permitted to dispense medications directly. If a client and/or a family member is not able or available to do this, our RN can pre-dispense the medication weekly or bi-weekly. The medication will be safely stored in a pill container, and the aide can ensure the client receives the medication at the scheduled times.
  • What if my caregiver can't make it to work?
    All A-1 caregivers are required to call the office in the event of an emergency which prevents them from getting to work. A-1 Health care coordinators will assign a qualified replacement as quickly as possible.
  • What happens if your live-in caregiver needs time off?
    An A-1 Home Health Aide office supervisor is notified of the time off needed in advance, so an appropriate replacement can be provided for you.
  • What if I need changes in my service?
    A-1 Health Care is extremely flexible with our services, and we understand that the care situation can change quickly. We can adjust employees schedule on short notice and either add more service or decrease service as needed.
  • Do I pay the caregiver directly?
    No, you will be invoiced each week for services rendered unless other arrangements have been made. All A-1 Health Care’s caregivers are employees of our company, and therefore, you do not pay them directly. We handle all payroll taxes and necessary deductions for all our employees.
  • How do I pay for service?
    A-1 Health Care Services accepts private pay and many third party payers that may include long term care insurance, group health insurance, no-fault, workers’ compensation, medicare and many other community or governmental programs. We will work with our clients to review payment options.
  • Do I need to sign a contract or service agreement?
    No, A-1 Health Care does not required a service contract. We only require 24 hour notice cancellation of service.
  • Are your caregivers bonded and insured?
    Yes, every caregiver is an employee of A-1 Health Care Services, Inc. Each employee is bonded and covered by the company’s general liability insurance and workers’ compensation insurance.
  • Will I always receive the same caregiver?
    A-1’s goal is to establish a long term match between the client and caregiver, and to keep the same caregiver with the client as long as the client is satisfied. We are diligent in determining a perfect fit between client and caregiver.
  • Who can you call for problems or concerns after office hours?
    You can always reach an A-1 Health Care Services office supervisor. We are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A-1 provides a live answering service (person) who will answer your call at any time.
  • How long have you been in business?
    A-1 health Care Services, Inc. has been in business since 1984.
  • How soon can I arrange for service?
    A-1 Health Care can usually supply your caregiver within 24 hours.
